The Requirements

To meet the basic qualifications for the Systems Solutions Representative role, you must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. Additionally, to be a strong fit for this opportunity you will have:
  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or Management Information Systems with specific technical coursework.
  • 2 years of relevant experience is preferred; for example, in a computer or networking environment, technical support, or quality assurance capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows / Mac environments and their integration into a LAN/WAN.
  • Strong networking knowledge, both in theory and practice.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven customer service skills and an engaging personality.
Preferred but not required:
  • Experience troubleshooting Canon software and office equipment.
  • Application knowledge of Canon Software products (i.e. uniFLOW, Therefore, PrismaDirect, etc.) and current versions of popular commercial software packages.
  • Network +, Security+, MCITP, MCSA or equivalent certification.
This position may require some light travel. If you've been a traveling "road warrior" looking to get out of the field and into the office, this could be a great position for you.

The Role

As Systems Solutions Representative you will provide an enhanced level of software and connectivity phone and web-based support to customer-facing field technicians and Canon resellers who are diagnosing problems. You'll troubleshoot problems and recommend solutions using technical expertise, by re-creating difficult problems in a lab environment and reference data contained in all Canon available resources.

We'll also look to you to log all call activity into the call management system and share information in the knowledge base for both internal and external customers. You'll also create "how to" videos to assist technicians in the troubleshooting process.

We are committed to supporting the dealer community and end users with fast response time and resolution, so it will be important for you to you to collect data, be collaborative, and resolve cases as quickly as possible. You'll communicate with dealer personnel, ensuring they remain engaged throughout the support process to help facilitate interactions with end users or IT administrators.
