Keys to Success
If you're looking for a position in which you can turn out the same "cookie cutter" reports every day, this is not the role for you. To excel in this role you will be enthusiastic about working with numbers, identifying trends, and digging in to find the stories and insights within the data. The analyses and reports you generate will need to present value-adding information that suggests a course of action for decision-makers. In reports and presentations you will be succinct and present the data in a way that is easy for non-technical people to understand and use.You also should bring a strong desire to learn and grow. In addition to learning the technologies already described here, the team is constantly exploring new tools and technologies that we all learn together. When presented with an assignment, you should be resourceful and motivated to find both the data and the techniques you'll need. You should be able to take a general and sometimes ambiguous concept from a requestor and figure out how to deliver the right information and format without going back repeatedly to the requestor to ask for more clarity.
Communication and interpersonal skills will be important as you interact with a variety of contacts to get the data you need and share the insights you gain. Once you have become familiar with our products, operations and objectives, you'll be in a position to help identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
